Caixa Galicia Foundation of Lugo

The building is situated in the center of the city of Lugo between St. Mary’s Square near the Cathedral and the Plaza of Spain. The proposed reform is to arrange the floor plan generating a single vertical communication core in the center of the building. The project creates a connection between both public squares in the heart of the building as if it were an interior street with overhead light.
A new facade is opened to the square of the Cathedral, with terrace, café, exhibition hall, auditorium, restrooms and vertical communications.
