CCS de Ferrol presentado como edificio sostenible en INHABITAT

“This angular CCS Control Building serves as the headquarters for the Port Authority in Ferrol, Spain and is located on a prominent concrete jetty that cuts into the bay. Like the prow of a ship out on the ocean, the triangular volume stands proudly against the elements and was designed by Diaz y Diaz Arquitectos to withstand their forces for years to come. An aluminum screen facade protects the interior from strong winds and rain, but still allows for views and daylight. Energy efficiency, flexibility and durability were of the highest priority and the project was recently awarded with the 2011 LEAF Award for Public Buildings.”
